Satenne R-2 upgrade and update
Satenne R-2 upgrade and update h2>
On 1 June, the Astra 3 satellite had significant transponder changes, making it impossible for the first version (V1) control cabinet of the Satenne R-2 as delivered in 2010 and 2011 to find this satellite. The solution is a software update. At the same time, an upgrade is made to the control box, which makes it possible to perform updates in the future. This is the official solution in collaboration with the original developer and manufacturer of the control box and software. To help you quickly, we have set up a trading system. You do not have to wait for the update/upgrade, but immediately get another control box. The costs for this amount are € 125, – The Satenne R-2 has so far not needed any updates, especially when compared to other brands. For the Astra 3 satellite, this is the first update since Satenne’s introduction to the Dutch market in 2010. The control cabinet included with the Satenne R-2 has a DVB-S search system. Today, many antennas are equipped with a DVB-S2 search system. However, it is not necessary to purchase a DVB-S2 search system for a lot of money. After the update, you can get the Satenne R-2 all channels of the CanalDigital offer on Astra 3 in HD quality again. On the Astra 3 satellite there are both DVB-S and DVB-S2 transponders. For both, they are subject to changes, so updates with a DVB-S2 search system will also take place. It is therefore not necessary to spend a lot of money on a DVB-S2 search system. For those interested: in March 2014, the sequel to DVB-S2 technology has been proposed: DVB-S2X. Technology continues to evolve and in future it has consequences for, among other things, the satellite receivers to be used, but to a lesser degree for the antennas. Satenne is making every effort to make you enjoy watching TV on vacation as a user! Make an appointment with your Satenne dealer or the nearest Satenne Service Point for the update.
